Banda de Hus started the show very well with a nice 2nd place finish in the Friday 1.50m class, just behind McLain Ward and Rothchild and continued by earning another 2nd place in the Derby on Sunday, having secured the one of the only clear rounds in this delicate and long course. Night Train and Denis Lynch were just one second faster and finished ahead Greg and Banda...
When it was his turn, Kronos made his presence known and showed that he was back in great form and ready for the end of the season. After a clear schooling round on the first day in the 1.45m class, he finished second again in the 1.45m the next day. As a nice wrap up to his show, he jumped a superb clear first round in the small 1.50m Grand Prix on Sunday. With so many riders in the jump off riding with such great speed, Gregory tried to take all the risk from the start but he was penalized right away with a fault on the second fence which held him back from placing.
Baloudana was clear in the 2* GP but made a fault at the last obstacle in the jump off but finished with the 2nd fastest time.
Quadrille and SeaCoast Forlap showed very good qualities in the 1.35m and the 7 yo classes, respectively.
So it was with 3 magnificant 2nd place finished that Gregory returned from Valkenswaard saying he was very happy and satisfied with his horses.
