An Unfortunate End for the Belgian Team and Gregory

Belgique

On this Friday, anything is possible for Belgium is close to a medal. Like the prior day, Dirk was the first to go but unfortunately he tied his score for the prior day with 12 faults. Next , it was Gregory’s turn but he didn’t do any better with a 12 fault score. At the point, Belgium no longer had luck beside them since, after two riders from each team completed their rounds, other teams had performed better than us. We did not lose hope in the meantime. Philippe gave it his all but had two rails with Vigo. And Jos would end up being the best score of the day for our team with a four fault finish. Belgium finished 7th overall. Gregory, Jos and Philippe were qualified for a chance to compete for the final individual medal on Sunday but given their placing far from the leaders, they decided not to compete.
