The first leg of the Belgium Championships is where only the 40 best Belgium riders are present due to a new regulation instituted this year. The course was set at a height of betwee 1.45-1.50m but was very delicate with faults at fences throughout. Unfortunately, Gregory finished the course with 8 faults even though his mare jumped very well.
In the World Championship 6-Year old where Gregory qualified to compete based on his beautiful third place finish in the Belgian Young Horse Championships, Vargas and Gregory finished on a clear round on this first day of competition.
