On the road to Omaha

This Monday morning, Gregory took off for his first World Cup final, which will be held in Omaha in the US.

"I am very excited and impatient to start this championship, which is a new experience for me. It is a little bit different from other big championships because I will be alone and not in team like for the other big outdoors events. I have had this objective to qualify for this finale for months and here we are at last. This will be my first World Cup final. I chose to take Forlap with me because I considered he jumped better and better and gave me a lot of confidence during these last competitions. Moreover I think that a small arena is better suited for him than Coree, even if she did win in Liepzig and was in the rankings in Madrid on similar arenas. So as I had the opportunity to chose, i preferred to keep Coree for outdoors competitions that will come right after the final, in Mexico and Miami. Forlap arrived well in Omaha. It will start with the veterinary check-up on Tuesday, then the warm up on Wednesday so that the horses can discover the arena, and then the speed class on Thursday evening. I have no doubt that Forlap will give his very best for me, and I hope to be at the level of this event."
