A busy week but one that was very positive and encouraging for Gregory and Conrad. The team results are better forgotten but it was in the individual that Gregory almost went all the way with Conrad, a very inexperienced horse at this level but yet one that showed great ease and much potential. Conrad had a 3rd place finish in the speed, four faults on the second day and a clear round on the 3rd day. All in all, this left the couple in 6h place before the semi-final round on Saturday where only the 30 top horse and rider combinations (out of 153 couples that started) were qualified to compete. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding at the triple combination led to a run out and a high score of 15 faults but that score truly does not reflect the ability and manner in which Conrad jumped in this semi-final round. Gregory can see that a very promising future lies ahead for he and Conrad as they go on to face future challenges.
